Vampire the Masquerade came first, and it's been around for a long time so naturally there's a lot to it. It's been a long time since I've played either of these games, and I'm sure that others can give you more and better information, but here's my two cents. Go into as much detail on one or the other or already compare them directly in your post.Īs I'm mostly curious about the settings, I am not that much interested in which edition atm (I know VtM has its 5th atm and VtR is in its 2nd).īig bonus question: can you recommend appropirate movies/TV-series for each? (if there is such a thing or at least pretty close to it) So tell me, what kind of setting is VtM? And what kind of setting is VtR? What are the differences, setting-wise? If you know/played both, which did you like better and why?
I am sure we have tons and tons of experience on these forums here.with both versions of WW/OPP Vampire settings. This is why i turn to you, fellow Gamers of RPG.net.
Now i am kind of wondering, which one of the two would be more to my tastes. I know that with the nWoD, there was a new Vampire setting (the Requiem) besides VtM. Now that i have seen some VtM Actual Play videos (LA by Night), I'm curious about the setting of Vampire.
So, i have a 'confession' to make: The only WW RPG i ever played was (is) Exalted.
